Guinea’s Yakhouba Barry Gnagna has made it clear he is at the sixth Edition of the Total African Nations Championship (CHAN), Cameroon 2020 to help his team to win the trophy and also become the top scorer.

The striker was in good form scoring a brace in Guinea’s convincing 3-0 victory against Namibia in Group D opener at Limbe Omnisports Stadium on Tuesday night.

“I am happy to score two goals in our opening match against Namibia. But my target is to keep working hard so that I become the tournament top scorer,” Gnagna said.

Guinea Premier League champions Horoya AC striker made it clear that although Syli National won 3-0, it is still too early to assume anything in such tournaments.

“As a team we must treat every match like a final because this will help us reach our goal. I am also glad that we have very passionate fans that came to the stadium on Tuesday and cheered for us,” he added.

Syli National will next face Zambia on January 23rd in a promising game since Chipolopolo also won their opening match 2-0 against Tanzania.

CHAN tournament is exclusively designed for footballers who ply their trade in their respective nations' domestic leagues.
